Huawei prepares for big smartphone sales drop

Huawei is preparing for a 40% to 60% drop in international smartphone shipments as the Trump administration’s blacklisting hammers one of the Chinese tech giant’s most important businesses.

China’s largest technology company is crunching internal estimates and exploring options including pulling the latest model of its marquee overseas label, the Honor 20, people familiar with the matter say.

I still believe that the Chinese have backdoors, also the reverse engineering and ripping off of everything has to stop.
If they are so advanced why do they need to reverse engineer things?

No one denies are kings of stealing IP, but as for backdoors, the US government also engage in it. And they (US companies) also steal IP from each other. It's the hypocrisy that we bemoan.
