On a more serious note, though, we must acknowledge that we are in the poo with these prices :(
what I cant understand is why isnt the price deregulated, and stations have the power to pick their own prices,
also self service pumps, maybe one or 2 per forecourt to test it out.

Yep, agree. Let the free market decide what they want to charge. There will always be a margin for profit, which is acceptable. But why not let the fuel station owners decide what their profit margin should be.

Just one last thought on this, there should be a maximum price (if not already so), so that you don't get the only fuel station in a far flung dorp charging stupid because of monopoly.
