They are reluctant to do this but under heavy investigation they can retrieve a subscriber's data logs in terms of which IP addresses the DATA flowed through and how many megs, what time of the day, etc. As I say this information does not come easy, pretty much need a court order first
Well that would be the easiest way to prove or disprove whether the subscriber is at fault, wouldn't it?
Privacy issues.
Sure if you shared the actual URLs but can't you see how much bandwith a device registered on your network has consumed?
Yes we can. Even I can provide a client with itemized billing that will show dates, times and data in used in those sessions. Wont help the client finding out what on his phone or what on his computer used it.
So was it a device of marine1 that was at fault?
His phone and he traced it to Opera Max.
So the network wasn't actually at fault? How on earth did he get a free pass still?
And LOL @ using Opera Max.
I cannot comment on that. I am happy however for him.
Hmm, okay well I hope this new found good will stop the company from overcharging other subscribers.
I do not agree with OOB

Huh?
Other people getting helped as well due to your experience.
Jannie must love your op Marine1.
I don't think he ever thought you would post a thank you to Vodacom!
