The Hurricanes won 32-24 after leading 14-10 at half-time.

The Hurricanes scored four tries through wing Cory Jane, centre Conrad Smith, replacement prop Reggie Goodes and lock Jeremy Thrush. Flyhalf James Marshall landed three conversions as well as two penalties.

The Sharks replied with three tries through hooker Bismarck du Plessis and wings S'bura Sithole and Odwa Ndungane. Centre Frans Steyn added all three conversions and a penalty.
