Just got a quote for the service but want to know if the quote seems right. Labour totals R1155 and the total including parts, labour and VAT comes to R3250. Is this a fair price? Seems a bit high

That does sound high, labour is usually higher than parts, and unless it's a major, major service, you should only be looking at oil and filters...

Had my 60 k service today. The price is standard at all dealers.
Thankfully mine was paid for by someone else.
If you are handy, ask for pollen filters to be left in car and fit them yourself. Trust me on this..
Did a damn fine job at Hyundai Roodepoort.

So this is the quote i received.

Look, I don't know the car, but I find it strange that they would charge you for TWO air filters, PLUS a "Long life filter kit". You could also save a bit by supplying your own oil and filter - apart from that, nothing too strange - just horrified at the price of plugs!

Seems decent. My Corsa recently had its first services outside the service plan, it was the 60,000km/4th annual services, despite the car only having done 44,000km, and it cost me R2800 at GM.

Authorized would be Hyundai. Other mechanics are available everywhere. I don't know anyone specifically for this brand but I'm sure someone here will be able to help you :)

Any registered mechanic can stamp your book... Well actually, anyone can actually stamp a book! Just find someone that's got a reputation and a stamp
