Oh, and don't pull emails you snooped out as defense, you will royally @#$* yourself.

He may have already done that, there is a fair amount of detail in his first post, hopefully no one from his works reads this forum.

You sound a bit dodge to be honest...

That said you generally require a warning if you're inside permanent employment - BCE covers you for this.

But, your contract is probably a Probation Contract which will carry a clause allowing the company to fire you back into the unemployment pool if they feel like it.
If you have not signed a permanent contract, you still under this, as any contract on expiry will persist its conditions if the relationship remains unchanged.

So if you have one of those, "Either party may terminate the agreement in the first 3 months with no recourse" clauses in your 3 month contract, they can dismiss you, yes.

Read it again, it's already outside the first 3 months. He's been working there for 2 weeks after that period came to an end. He was waiting for his new employment contract.

This is important ... if the contract that you have now does have this probationary clause in place ... and the employer can claim that they could not get you to sign a new contract due to your absence, you could be in a bit of trouble.

I believe a company can extend a probation period at their discretion.

Yes i was corrected thanks. :) But in my eyes, anyone snooping in private emails deserves to be fired.

True, and the people who setup that Exchange system should be turfed out the door too..

They did give him a new contract, but it was wrong and he was told he will have his new one by the end of the same day?

Can this be brought in to account as well?

I really hope that you get to keep your job. See what they have to say at the hearing and show them your case.

No I agree 100%, just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

Yep.

I could get access to all salary, wages, email, document folders etc if I wanted to with no real hassles (from my side) but I have principals.
