Well I phoned Sentech today to cancel. Getting a Telkom line on Saturday and then going the ADSL route. Sentech have nobody but themselves to blame. I laugh at how far they are from their mission statement...

me too, so is their useless no-wire agent, i don't even think they have a mission statement

I also applied for ADSL.

Aerosat wireless was not to bad ,but paying R300 for a 64k connection is a bit ridiculous. I can not understand how some of these wisps think.

I mean when Telkom reduce their ADSL prices they keep their packages unchanged.

What I would have done if I was Aerosat or Sentech is to at least upgrade the customers line speed for free.

I am sorry Aerosat ,but paying R495 for a 192k connection is not on.

me2

Faxed my cancellation forms this morning. Now just looking for original packaging since I have to return the modem in packaging received 2 years ago. What a joke, and that after I was told by the NoWire salesperson in Menlyn that I keep the modem after paying for it for two years.

Normally I would put up a fight since I actually have two witnesses who was with me the specific day and can vouch for that, but, what the hell, for all I care they can shove the modem where the sun don't shine.

And just for the fun of it, since I sent my cancellation fax (for end of Sep!!), I can all of a sudden not access my sentech mail. (strange isn't it?)

i am using iburst now much better than sentech, and so is their service,my monthly subscription is 399/m with the speed up to 1mb,comparing this to that unethical Just-Connect agent who charged me 500/m without offering any help afterwards!! or you need to pay them R400 to get help from them! Their unethical business strategy just makes me sick, and i wonder how long will their business last, but it won't last long for sure!

Telkom phoned me to set the date for activating my new phone line. After that it is just activating ADSL on it and I am away :)

I am also out.

Ordered ADSL on Monday and was already surfing last night.
All I can say is WOW. Skype actually works, VPN to the workplace is orders of magnitude faster than my old Sentech connection and ping times are excellent.

No way in hell that I will be using a wireless provider for my main internet needs again.

I was sold the same lie...but just like you I will not bother putting up a fight.I would rather spare myself than risk a stroke from excessive anger... trying to argue with Nowire/Sentech retards.
