Yes unfortunately and it's especially true for my closest tower I connect to is that these towers perform at very low level of reliability. Sounds like an Eskom phrase but yeah it is what it is. For the fortunate 5G users you will have more than one tower so will just experience slower speeds but for those with just 1 tower that means no service.

This is how my invoiced looked with the credit of R300 for downtime.

Do you automatically connect to the other towers or did rain move you there?

I'm wondering if I need to get hold of the new router "X" and see if that improves things.

It switches automatically like LTE.

Closest tower is 800m. Next tower is 1.25km then the last tower is 2km from me. It switches between them automatically as the tower go down during loadshedding as I have the router on backup power. Speeds tank on the second 2 but service still works.

Rain gave me a call now. Said I should cancel, get a refund and when they decide to get it working again they will call me and I can resubscribe lol. They also wanted to send another technician to do the tests which defeats the purpose of the first one testing. Told them the router/5G works no where, outside, inside or next to the tower as the technician would have seen and showed me.

Last resort, they sending me a new router to try and if it fails, I'll then cancel.

Did they at least confirmed the tower is offline close to you?

No they did not. Not sure if the issue is even escalated to the engineers feels like they trying to handle it at the front office.

I would get 5G signal then it would just drop off after a couple of seconds. When it was online I checked the location of the cell id an it was in my location thus I assume its not offline. Its either faulty or there is something wrong with my account/router
