did you try switching it off, and on again?
The modem or the user?
did you try switching it off, and on again?
guys...im very frustrated and you are talking **** things.why the hell mdma developres didn't fix this bug? why they didn't make updated mdma softvare,so it can be fixed.is there any chance that i find some dashboard for zte, with 900 nad 2100band settings, and then just set it to 900mhz? i haved an dashboard like that earlier, but that modem was sold and i dont know where to find that dashboard now.that was for mf622 modem.
why the hell they didn't put in 900mhz band? why? sooo stupiddd i cant believe whatt a stupidness...
I FIXED IT!
REALLY,I DO.
THIS METHOD SHOULD WORK FOR EVERYONE.
HOW TO RETURN UMTS 900MHZ BAND TO ZTE MODEM?
download hyperterminal,or use it if you already have it on pc.
launch hyperterminal, and give some name to a connection.
find out modem port, you should open device manager, under section modems, properties etc...(in mine case,COM5)
back to terminal,type/choose that modem port in hyperterminal, and confirm,go next...
when the TEXT FIELD comes up,type this: AT+ZBANDI=8,or at_zbandi=8
press enter.
the message should appear, see the picture.message is confirmation that the job is done.
after this, modem is factory reseted and reloaded.

It doesn't work in all ZTE modems (esp. Vodafone branded), so my warning is still valid. Don't play with +ZBANDI!when the TEXT FIELD comes up,type this: AT+ZBANDI=8,or at_zbandi=8
press enter.
the message should appear, see the picture.message is confirmation that the job is done.
after this, modem is factory reseted and reloaded.

thanks to those who wanted to help , and no thanks to those who have made a mock.
i hope that people with same problem will see this post.
i guess this is my first and last message on this forum.
bye.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad to hear that worked for your modem.I FIXED IT!

I find it hard to believe that you are 23, I would say more along the lines of 13 at a guess.
Anyway, MDMA isnt meant to be soft and fluffy, its meant for higher levels of intelligence.
use the carriers software if you want it to be pretty and not allow you to break things.

sajunky made a similar suggestion three years ago for Solitude's modem, but it did not work, see:
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/303489-MDMA-1-0-0-31-Beta-Testing?p=7633417#post7633417
and Solitude's reply a few posts on.
So we know from many websites:i have read all of those messages earlier, before i damaged the modem.but i was tired and hungry and didn't read first page, which is most important.everything is okay now, this is low-end hspa modem, but it gives me very good pings,35-41ms etc...nad thank you.![]()
Set Band Status +ZBANDI
AT+ZBANDI=0 • Automatic (Auto) – Default
AT+ZBANDI=1 • UMTS 850 + GSM 900/1800
AT+ZBANDI=2 • UMTS 2100 + GSM 900/1800 (Europe)
AT+ZBANDI=3 • UMTS 850/2100 + GSM 900/1800
AT+ZBANDI=4 • UMTS 850/1900 + GSM 850/1900
I FIXED IT!
REALLY,I DO.
So we know from many websites:
Would you be able to help identify what +ZBANDI=5, 6, 7, 8, etc. do?
I'm guessing one might be UMTS 900 + GSM 900/1800 and another might be UMTS 900/2100 + GSM 900/1800.
I'll then be able to add these options to MDMA so that in future people can "fix" the problem without having to use HyperTerminal.
I disagree. Now that ZTE modems are responding to +ZBANDI > 4 we should be looking enabling band setting for ZTE modems again (with a warning for old modems / firmwares about UMTS 900).people should not have this problem in future, they probably won't do something like i did.this can happen only to me,because of im too curious.i just wanted to unlock another modem.also, mdma developrers should remove ''zband'' commands.![]()
