Here's a protip. If your gonna plan your date ahead withdraw the money you gonna spend that night. R400-R500 should be more than enough. Not saying you gonna use all that money, cause I haven't, just enough for the date and added extras in case of emergency (i.e. petrol, condoms where you may find your self the ATM ain't working). Plus paying cash makes the sate transition quicker without having to wait for the transaction to occur as would with a debit/credit card
If the activity of the night is not that expensive then something which might be racking up your bill is the food part of the date. Don't go to a fancy restaurants...unless she is foody type of girl. Hell even Spur is a bit expensive these days. A meal which is always great is a pizza (unless she's lactose intolerant). And not Debonairs or Scooters. Look for wood oven or Italian restaurants. Mimmos is probably the most easiest to find. Anyway with the pizza date you arsure to be in close proximity sharing of one pizza plate.
Drinks wise have some common drinks at your house. It's on you then to tell her to head to your place for some drinks.
I don't know what women you take out on a date with R500? My GF doesn't drink, so the most expensive thing I have to pay for is her meal, and frikkin milkshakes.
On a first date, and you're hoping to get lucky, don't be a cheap ass - make sure you have at least R2K available, if you like her and see a future there. Being unprepared when she jumps at your suggestion that you hit a nightclub is the worst thing you can do.
If you're just looking for a pomp, and some skank will sleep with you after you spent a lousy R500, then good on you.
