How do you know it was migrane if you never take pain killers.

We here in migranevill call what you had a rather large headache. Migrane = prescription drugs directly into the vein. Then after about 5 min you start feeling a bit woohzy.Pethidine

I agree. My mom would suffer from migrains where she would lock herself in a dark room and god help you if you make a squeek in the house. My dad would then come home from work and give her a shot of Pethidine. I had my first Pethidine last year with my op. OMG! That stuff is incredible! I was vomiting so much from the pain that morning when my sister took me to hospital, and a few minutes after they injected me with Pethidine I was so chilled and pain free I was lauging with my sister because the nurse kept on explaining to one of the confused patients that he is hospitalized in Rose - Acres...instead of Roseacres! haha.

wow...that was a long story...sorry! hehe

in general if you're worried about codeine or zolpidem then you should really avoid pethidine. it is highly addictive.

IMO it should only be reserved for post op pain in hospital and nothing else. it is an awfully dirty painkiller.

Be quiet! It felt great! I was in so much pain it felt like I was Sigorney Weaver and a alien was trying to burst out of my tummy! Pethidine gave me relief and made me calm before the op. I actually could not decide if I was crying from the pain or from being scared of going in for a op...but that shot made dead calm. Except from when they pushed me into the theatre again....then the tears came back.

VIVA PETHIDINE! lolz.

Besides...I think Pethidine is highly controled. You must be either a doctor or a highly recourseful addict to get your grimy hands on it.

True. :)

What is Pethidine btw? Is it a opiad?

Sorry...just one more story. After the op....they gave me something called "Razon"...or "Razor" for pain control...could never really make out what the nurse was saying....and every time they put it up on the drip, 5 - 10 minutes later I would develop a splitting headache. The morning I was being discharged they put up another one of these drips and true as god...I get a freakking headache again that made me wanna vomit! I called the nurse and explained to her that everytime they give me that sht I get a headache. She said I should have spoken up earlier because lots of people have a adverse reaction to it and gets headaches from it. I was like... "WTF....you give me this sht for pain control knowing that many people get headaches from it? What the hell man. I then told her to give me a Pethidine shot instead. She said no....and I said I am going to vomit on your from the pain if you dont. She obliged and gave me the shot in my adorable ass! 5 minutes I was walking on clouds. My sister came to fecth me about 30 minutes later. Was so funny...she looked at me and before even hugging me hello she asked..."Did you just have a Pethidine shot?" .....it was a good day! lolz

After about 5 shots in a 6 week period they refuse to give me pethidine.

Also they rarely give it to people that asks for it. :(

Pity cause I'm not an addict. I go abit bonkers when I have Migrane. After a few hours it feels like I will rather blow my brainz out than go on with the headache.. and then they refuse you the stuff that works because addicts fakes migranes and ask for it
( no I do not have emo issues, I just can not take 3 hours of vommiting )

lol. :D i wasnt referring to your story with the mad face. i was referring to the nonsense people tell you for their fix "the dog ate the script/ the maid flushed the script/my husband gave it away"

pethidine is an opioid like morphine, codeine etc. strangely nausea is a common side effect from pethidine and not rayzon.

I always avoid taking medication, I've already got this nicotine, caffiene, and masturbation addiction. I don't wanna add prescription drugs to my slowly growing list :erm:

Try Spasmend - it's just a cheap muscle relaxant, but wow. Certainly helped me get through 2 years of customer service. :) A friend once took 2 because she thought one wouldn't be enough for her injury and ended up floating for hours (haven't tried that myself, though).

I think someone may have mentioned Synap Forte already - it's a pain killer that includes a sedative as well. Veeery effective - you might still have pain but you won't care. :) Unfortunately about to be removed from the market because it apparently causes problems with heart rhythms, which is a pity.

Rayzon!!!!!! That is what they were giving me! THank you! Are you a phramacist or doctor or something? You seem very clued up.

The Rayzon did not make me wanna vomit...the headache which it induced in me made me wanna vomit it was so bad! WTF is Rayzon...they gave it to me for post op pain...but like Mila...it made me wanna blow my brains out cause of the headaches it gave me!

The Pethidine did make me feel a little queezy...but it was minimal. I think the reason for that is it gave me this warm wave moving up and down my body. :) Made my tummy turn a little....kinda like when you go up and then down a steep hill in a mast moving car! It was fun! hehe.

Surgeon gave me script for Synap Forte when I was discharged. Did nothing to me...did not make me sleepy...high or took away my pain. Adcodol is stronger in my opinion....not sure why Synaps is so raved about.

I asked my obstetrician about her plan for pain management during and after the birth of my baby and she started rattling off a number of drugs they can/will give me.

Not being a pharmacist, none of them meant anything to me, except when I heard her say 'morphine' :)
