Very possibly, but I'm asking more along the lines of if that could be the deposit and if he could afford monthly repayments.

If its all that he can afford, then yes a CitiGolf for R10k is a decent enough buy, though I might try knock the guy down to R8k since its 19years old.

I have R75000 cash. I was looking at a Citi Golf (might still get one) but read a lot of people here say it's unsafe and is the same model since 19foetsack. Regardless of safety I think it looks good, especially the black or charcoal, but would just like to know what are other peoples suggestions or input for this price range.

I saw a Polo Playa 1.4i Trendline for about R80000 but it had like 150000 KM's on the clock.

So I do I sacrifice for a higher mileage and older year for something other that a Citi Golf?

PS: Please no fanboi's or hater fags. Just want some honest suggestions and opinions...

Thanks :D

News24 stated on Monday that Volkswagen SA stopped the production of Volkswagen Citi golfs... Maybe you should get a second opinion?

I cannot believe the lengths people will go to, to discredit what is basically a nice set of wheels!

Not all of us need air bags and 200k of metal around us to enjoy driving!

I also cannot believe that people are now buying cars KNOWING that they are going to have an almighty accident where they WILL die if they don't have all the safety features of a bloody Volvo!!

Buy the CITI and enjoy economical and enjoyable motoring!!

citi golf owners becomes bmw drivers...

visa versa.

Oh I see... Hmm I wouldn't know, I don't think so though...

Most BMW drivers come across as the young and yuppie businessman who is slightly balding, who are insecure and like to boost their ego by driving fast and close behind people while hooting and flashing their abnormally bright xenon lights.
