I'm going to keep it short and sweet, but I got pulled over for driving under the influence and I was about 3 times over the limit, it's my first offense and I'm really worried about all the things im reading online. My other big problem is I don't have a license either. My court case is Wednesday the 14 of August 2019 and I have a million things running through my mind. Please I really do need advice on the procedure here

Hope you have some spare cash for a lawyer.
HI Dan thanks for the reply, I have contacted my lawyer already and he advised me to try to stay calm because the blood results need come back with the docket. I just need peace of mind... Of what could possibly happen because I can't see myself going to jail.

Good to know you contacted your lawyer. It's going to set you back a bit, but I don't foresee jail time.

If you're lucky they'll lose the docket. Have seen this happen a few times.

With that being said. If you haven't been convicted before, you'll most probably get a slap on your wrists.

Thank you Dan, I really hope not because some of this stuff I'm reading online is scaring the **** out of me. What eats my conscious the most is that I ubered out to fetch my girlfriends car after she had to Uber home from a bachelorette party, because she couldn't drive back home nor leave the car parked outside the club they were at...

I have heard that from my mates as well, but one knows how the normal human mind would respond when sitting in a situation like this, not knowing what will happen... I really appreciate the feedback guys. Just hope this goes in the right direction... Because I knew the risk I was taking and if I have to face a fine or community service I'll much rather do that then sit in jail...

What would you consider the 'right' direction for an unlicensed drunk driver?
I see where you going with this and to be honest I don't really know how to really answer this. But I'm a law abiding citizen and not to yank my own chain I'm a all round good guy. But I my intentions were good before taking that risk... Because I had to fetch the car in beachfront table view and I stay just off Gie road table view.. I couldn't leave the car at risk especially considering all the car theft and car break ins in this area. So my first option is to get my girlfriend home safely and secondly to get our property home safely hence putting many things at risk which I wouldn't deny. But I wouldn't consider myself a murderer or rapist, drug dealer etc.ckearly not a menace to society... So therefor I feel that for one risky mistake I wouldn't give myself the ultimate penalty to go sit in jail with the likes of the above mentioned. No if it was a scenario that I was driving wrecklessly or let's say I caused an accident or even knocked someone over and they died... I'll put myself in jail. You can take it with a pinch of salt or not... Because you are entitled to your opinion... So my question is what do you think I deserve?

Take some responsibility for your own actions - you cannot be law abiding citizen and a drunk, unlicensed driver. You were lucky you didn't cause harm to yourself or others. Plead guilty and ask for community service with first responders - you may catch a wake up to the reality of the not-so-lucky drunk drivers who cause carnage on our roads. Next time call an Uber for the GF and a tow truck or sober friend for the car.

Recklessly.

Anyway, have you learned your lesson?

Who was supposed to drive the car home when they went out, and then got drunk instead?

You won't go to jail but that criminal offence on your CV is going to hurt.

And so will your wallet.

They need to make an example of people like you. Could've easily resulted in a loss of life.
