You keep saying this like it's a done deal. I still don't understand, you blood alcohol was nearly double the limit, so why did your case get dismissed?
They also take circumstances in consideration. Lawyers know what to say and OP is also a first time offender. I think they should at least have given him a hefty penalty, just to learn a lesson, but then again, I have also been given grace many times in life when I didn't deserved it.

Came back in here to hear if the OP is holding up fine getting futtbucked in prison, leaving disappointed he 'got off' with no real-world repercussions.

Oh well, being optimistic the law will follow it's course in this country sure sets one up for disappointment.

Emigrate then. ;)

That's not an answer to the problem. Running away from problems doesn't fix anything. I too was naive enough to think it does,
Tried it already - sucks out there, not the bliss everyone thinks it is.

Ofcourse it is, if your girlfriend is beating you, leave.

Or fight back.

Few question for OP:

1. Did you receive a suspended sentence?

2. Do you regret what you did?

3. Will you be getting a drivers licence?

4. Are you going to drink and drive again?

I do not want to be rude, you will receive a driving ban. You will not be able to get a license for however long the judge determines. You might receive a suspended sentence.

Also a hefty fine.

Good luck, dont do it again.
