Yeah that was about to happen to me one day, also had a vast amount of narcotics on me so I made a call and didn't stop.

Don't do what I did.

Most of these cases never make it to trial because of the blood work backlogs. But if by some miracle yours does I'd say plead for diversion, I believe that doesn't earn you a criminal record, which is what you want to avoid (it's unlikely they'd jail you). Though you should continue with your lawyer, what we say is pure speculation here. Mistake made, learn from it and do better next time.

I see where you going with this and to be honest I don't really know how to really answer this. But I'm a law abiding citizen and not to yank my own chain I'm a all round good guy. But I my intentions were good before taking that risk... Because I had to fetch the car in beachfront table view and I stay just off Gie road table view.. I couldn't leave the car at risk especially considering all the car theft and car break ins in this area. So my first option is to get my girlfriend home safely and secondly to get our property home safely hence putting many things at risk which I wouldn't deny. But I wouldn't consider myself a murderer or rapist, drug dealer etc.ckearly not a menace to society... So therefor I feel that for one risky mistake I wouldn't give myself the ultimate penalty to go sit in jail with the likes of the above mentioned. No if it was a scenario that I was driving wrecklessly or let's say I caused an accident or even knocked someone over and they died... I'll put myself in jail. You can take it with a pinch of salt or not... Because you are entitled to your opinion... So my question is what do you think I deserve?

Could you not take a brief nap, eat some samoosas or gatsby and then go fetch the car?
Heck, I've even hovered around my car until I saw cops and asked them if they wouldn't mind helping me getting my car home.. it worked.

Remember 3 times over the limit is what you and I would call nipsy, perfectly fine to drive especially if your house is just round the corner.

Then how much over the limit are the sloshed, passed-out drivers we find?

And still under the limit in certain countries like the UK.

Well probably not but no really I have been pulled a few times, I've been more than double from drinking 2 draughts with dinner at Spur, literally sober as can be.

I'm going to keep it short and sweet, but I got pulled over for driving under the influence and I was about 3 times over the limit, it's my first offense and I'm really worried about all the things im reading online. My other big problem is I don't have a license either. My court case is Wednesday the 14 of August 2019 and I have a million things running through my mind. Please I really do need advice on the procedure here
Only advice is to take whats coming.

Law abiding citizens don't drive without a license or drunk. Just pointing out that the line is fine.

If nothing else, maybe judge others less. Don't let anyone scare you with stories of difficulty getting a job blah blah, but do take what's coming on the chin and learn from it. Good lessons.

I live in the same area and always rely on MyCiti when I plan on drinking in the area.
It is really a lifesaver.

Second option when driving my own car is to call insurance and use their take me home service after drinking.
a few major insurance providers offer this for free with the only downside being that you have to specify a time for pick up in advance.

Hope you learn from this and consider other options in the future.
Good luck!

I am not a judge. But life's above property. Your girlfriend could have taken an Uber or taxi. Both of your are completely irresponsible. The car you could have phoned a friend or family member to fetch.

But you probably won't go to jail. You will probably just get a hefty fee you will pay. For now TRY to calm down and wait for the court date and let the lawyer do the work. The take more in consideration than just the act. Just don't make a light thing about it. You don't seem to realise how serious this is. But the lawyer will tell you the right things to say.

I know this is not the answer you want but 5 of my friends have been hit by drunk drivers over the years, so no you are not law abiding and what you did was incredibly stupid and selfish and it really bugs me to see you not taking what you did that seriously
