What are you asking us? 1.5 to 2 revs, is that at the engine, at the wheels or any other rotating device of the car?

There's shaking and there's shaking. Is the engine not working properly between those revs, or is it just shaking the car?

If it's just shaking the car, I agree with engine mountings

Should've got the 1991 Opel Monza GSI car of the Year instead.
Drive that thing and you will shake.

Broken/loose engine mounting top on the list to check. Next would be a timing problem, dead spark plug on one cylinder (petrol), or equivalent on diesel, fuel line.

Thanks edited post to allow for diesel. Not sure what the diesel version have no experience with them.
They have glow plugs. Do a quick Google about the combustion cycle of a diesel compared to petrol. It's actually very interesting.
