hopefully heaven but probably hell

do these people think these companies trully give a **** about their awards when in the same freaking meeting:

Once Mufamadi sat down, delegates jumped up and started singing in support of the SA Communist Party. "We are going to take the land," they sang.

african logic prevails... and people wonder why we will fail at 2010. these are the kinds of things investors read... so dont think i am running this country down... the freaking idiots in this meeting are doing a damn good job too.

If that is Sydney Mufamadi in the article, he is quite good.

The Goverment needs to make people understand that they are never going to get rich for no reason. Their children will have the chance if they raise them correctly, but for them, there is no chance.

Only problem is how to tell people this without loosing their votes. People want some payback for what happened to them, and for their support during the struggle. Only they will never get it

I have a feeling the Government is playing a waiting game untill these people are gone (read "dead")

Dude this is africa getting the ANC into power was their get rich quick scheme the ANC played on this to get votes and still do. What pisses me off is that alot of people who are now benifiting were not even in the struggle but getting educated overseas coming back and claiming positions of power because of there families and leters of suport.

And so...

he admits to how heavily they rely on Western assistance which is rightly or wrongly due to choices he has made over many years as president.
Call a spade a spade m8

The Edcon Group, which owns Edgars, won the most unpatriotic retailer award, followed by Truworths and Mr Price.

How can they get an award for most unpatriotic company ?
And WHY THE **** would these companies care about those rewards ?

Yeah that should really go to telkom.

The companies don't care, infact you would be hard-pressed to find anyone outside of that meeting who does care.

Pay no attention, they want to feel important so they think of ways to make news, it's all propaganda.

What about COSATU getting the award for being an organization that can't control their own members [security guard/Shoprite Checkers strike].

It's very disturbing how much protection the worker gets in this country [hard to fire a person etc.] It seems they are constantly on strike and do hardly any actual work.

Is it any wonder that most factory's would rather automate their production thereby leave more people without an income...

I agree 110% :)

I would like to nominate COSATU as the biggest obstacle to reducing unemployment in South Africa :D
