To my annoyance, my regular tower (126 Fourways) had disappeared this morning; however my modem was finding tower 66, but with a very weak signal (my Yagi antenna, which is in the ceiling is probably not pointing towards it anyways).

So, with my 0% signal and no yellow lights on the modem I tried attempting to connect anyway. And it worked! So here I am online, with 0% signal, -110dBm ISCP, -110dBm RSCP, 0dBm SNR.

I reset the modem and reconnected to the Internet twice to be sure. Same story each time. Maybe my modem is poked, but I don't think it is.

WTF is going on here?

BTW: can anyone tell me which tower is 66? Is it still Lonehill?

I think fourways is getting tested from 6-9am. Read something about it on the sentech forum on their website.

Maybe it's all a conspiracy and Sentech can actually tell your modem how many lights to switch on.

Rodent: The speed I was getting with my 0% signal was pretty much what I always get (i.e. not what I would hope for, and certainly nowhere near 128Kbps).

Tower 126 has since came back online, so I have my 19% signal back, and speeds are looking better. Probably because all the regular users on 126 got disconnected during the testing..
