Hi guys,

On the 13th of July I will be partaking in a white collar fight night with 10 other hopefuls.

All the money goes to charity (from what I've been told).

I've got 3 months to train - I've never boxed before and am slightly out of shape.

Training is provided by The Armoury in Woodstock (Free of charge) and the fight will be at the old Fez building (which has a capacity of 1000!)

Its never wracking to say the least, but here's to doing something I've always wanted to do!

Hey... that's the Legal Industry Fight Night...so cmon, which law firm you work for? :D I signed up for it last year...had to withdraw 4 weeks before the fight, still suffering with a stuffed up rotator cuff injury :(

The training is epic! I lost 5 kg's!! :D

I'm in IT. Not in law. Should be fun though - signed up via an ad I saw on Facebook from Monks Chinese take aways :D

Ooooh....interesting, yeah last one was for Financial Services. The training is great, well the cardio etc. I've done boxing etc (many, many years ago...so kinda had to start from scratch), but still learnt a bit as you get trained by boxers - which is awesome. Few times after the cardio I thought I was gonna puke. Many people dropped out due to the intensity and the sparring - but I loved it. Wish this shoulder would hurry up and heal :(

Strictly amateurs I think so I doubt it! I've never even boxed before!

One guy I sparred with a few times, definitely was not an amateur that's for sure. Maybe they will be more strict with this requirement this round? He got in a few good shots...had a sore nose for a few days, got in a few good ones myself...said his jaw was clicking for a few days after when he chewed. :D

I know it's white collar, so you have the padding and no winner is declared after the fight...but the intensity is the same as a normal boxing match...it's hectic.

I hope so. I hate it when things are stacked to make it entertaining...

How do you sign up and what sort of commitment do you need to put in to get from a useless sack to putting on a decent show? I am mega unfit, but would be super keen. I am guessing the idea is to get your company and others to sponsor you for charity?
