Gaming development house seeks a professional individual with the right attitude and ambition, to join the team in an IT support role. Individual to provide 3rd line IT support to staff whilst leading a small team.
EXPECTED OUTPUT Lead small IT support team for a software development house in the gaming industry. This individual will be required to liase with management, create and execute IT strategies for the business.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide mentorship to junior team members. Communicates with local and remote parties to ensure the successful delivery of IT services. Assess and implement plans for future growth in order to meet business needs. Develop and use collabrative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of goals. Feedback to management, on a regular basis, on team performance and project progress Sets goals and tracks performance progress for the team Design, trial and implement IT solutions based on business requirements
CORE COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS Sound knowledge of Desktop, Server and infrastructure support processes and procedures Identifies and ensures that the necessary processes and procedures are in place to meet business objectives Desktop / Server support experience Network knowledge (CISCO advantageous) – DNS / DHCP / ROUTING Firewall knowledge (Checkpoint advantageous) Certification preferred, but not required After hours and weekend work will sometimes be required
