RTS game, not really my thing, although it seems quite good. 1/2 point.

Gabriel knight: The beast within. Too bad you need Win 98 to play it :(.
This looks interesting, but I'm not sure how much interacting is actually recquired. :D 1/2 point.
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

I have a local dedicated server running for it, but need more South African players. You'll love to hack and slash other people to pieces with a sword and various other weapons ;)
I know about this and it seems quite good. Didn't know there were SA servers.

Planescape
Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura
Nox
Jade Empire
Divinity 2: Director's Cut/Dragon Saga
Divine Divinity
Beyond Divinity
Evil Genius
Fahrenheit
Psychonauts
Syberia 1/2
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

There, get on with it.
Syberia I actually just was looking at before I saw your post, I will definitely give it a try.
I must give Jade Empire a go.
Fahrenheit is brilliant I really enjoyed that.
Vampire is excellent, I haven't played enough of it though.

You get 2 points, 1 for Jade Empire, and 1 for Syberia.

2 halves make a whole... and damn you... I have not stopped playing it since I said it.

OP is updated.

I know of this game, never played it though. It looks quite good but I have never thought that it was something I would play for longer than 1/2 an hour.

I like a wide genre of games. However, I don't really enjoy tooooo complicated games and RTS's aren't really my thing, although I enjoyed Age Of Empires. I like RP games and games with a good storyline, as well as FPS games, but when it comes to FPS games I like games that aren't just about shooting, for example Thief.

Star Trek: The Next Generation: Klingon Honor Guard
Kiss: Psycho Circus
Mortyr
Inherit the Earth: Quest for the Orb (You mentioned a few sierra adventure games)

FPSes are difficult, while its mainly what I playd, most of the games are main stream and well known, RP/RPGs I dont play much so dont know too many obscure titles many :p

The Star Trek one, sorry to say doesn't look awesome, the Psycho circus one looks like quite a decent shootemup, but not so good in terms of storyline and immersion. Mortyr looks kinda similar to DOOM, not really interesting to me. Inherit the Earth also looks a bit 'meh'.

Are these games that you think are awesome to play?

Condemned Criminal Origins

Zork Grand Inquisitor

Restricted area ('futuristic Diablo') looks good! I don't think I will play it though, not really what I'm looking for at the moment.
I know about Gothic 2, it's good, but similar to the likes of The Elder Scrolls, which are better IMO.
Condemned Criminal Origins looks pretty interesting, I might give it a go but it looks really scary. I don't like scary games too much purely because they are scary... Is this super scary?
I have heard about Zork.

You get 1.5 points, 1 for Condemned Criminal Origins, and 1/2 for Restricted area.

Back when they were released all three of those were awesome :p, dont trust what you read on gamespot ;), and inherit the earth has a bit of a cult status as well as a online comic that lasted right into the early 2000s, but I guess tastes differ.

Condemned is only slightly, it was quite enjoyable and I finished it and I'm not one for scary games, I would rate it around the same as FEAR which isn't all that scary.

Hmmmm

Baldurs Gate 1 + 2 <-- Gooooo remake!!!
All the Icewind Dale's
Fallout Tactics

If you like RP, try Star Trek online? It's a F2P MMO where you can roleplay as much as you'd like, or join a RP fleet.

Uplink, Defcon, and Darwinia/Multiwinia are all made by Intoversion Software. I love UPLINK it is really innovative. The other 2 I never really got into. They are developing a new game called Prison Architect. Now this looks super awesome. I have played the Alpha and it still needs a lot of work but it looks like it is going to be amazing.

Curse: The Eye of Isis looks good I will try that, is it super scary?

Monopoly is good fun, and I have the first IGI on CD, it was an AWESOME game, and I remember it being quite a big challenge. Must try the second one too.

As for SimCity 4, I have tried to get into this game so many times, as it looks awesome to play, but I invariably get frustrated because it is too complicated for my liking and I end up just destroying my city.

You get 1 point, for Curse: The Eye of Isis

Mount&Blade Warband

I have heard of this game, but had a better look at it, it looks interesting. Not really my type of game though.

Rayman Origins.
Project Zero
Dragon Quest VIII

All console, but all really good.

Thanks, I wonder if they will work with an emulator.

Baldur's Gate 2 I love so much... and I can't wait for the Baldur's Gate 1 remake.
I know of Icewind Dale, but I haven't ever played it before... Is it a standalone story?
Fallout Tactics I have looked up before as I love the Fallout series, Fallout: New Vegas being one of few games I have completed, but Tactics doesn't really interest me.

I have looked at Star Trek online... But all the MMO's I play (incl. Guild Wars) I get so bored because it's always get quest, grind monsters, rinse repeat etc. and I don't really get why the game is an MMO in the first place.
Is this any different?

Dayz Mod for Arma 2

Works can't describe how intense this game is.

I really want to play this but I am waiting patiently for the standalone, as I don't want to buy ARMA and then have to buy the standalone when it comes out.

If you use an emulator.... my list would get a little bigger.
There's gems like Streets of Rage, Rocket Knight Adventures, Final Fight etc....

Icewind Dale is it's own franchise. Plays basically exactly the same as BG.... think that's why I liked it so much.
I wouldn't say ST: O is any different in the MMO scene. You mentioned you liked RP though which is why I mentioned it though. You get fleets that are dedicated RP fleets and those that do it more casually, so even though you may be left with the "end game grind" the RP aspect would keep it fresh.

By standalone do you mean WarZ or the official DayZ remake?
