The flippancy with which you view, or even categorize the remark, is not unlike that of those that use the K word freely.

Nope nothing.......

Now why would i be offended that you think i'm a Dutchman? That is a first world country? Rock spider ( animal) Boerboel (pretty dog) clutch plate ( very use full and Expensive) mmmmmmmmmmmmm

nah nothing to feel bad about all you are implying with that is that i'm white and that is something that does not bother me at all. Hell i'm very happy that i'm white

I would like a bumper sticker saying Thank God i'm a white Woman. But thats just common:rolleyes:
there is not an amount of explanation/education that will ever get you to get why people are very upset at being called the K-word!

i would suggest you start by reading "King Leopold's Ghost" but that wouldn't work either.

He won't debate because his single active braincell stopped daydreaming long enough to let him know he'd be embarrassing himself in public.

Then it went back to sleep to give him time to embarrass himself again.

I don't even know why people pay attention to him anymore - he's the only person that could possibly beat old Bush with chronic foot-in-mouth disease.

Somebody at school called me a rock once (another term for afrikaners) - I shouted back and called him "Kingklip" - he always had a group of Afrikaans lads following him around :p

The same way Malema calls The people that work for Zill garden boys..... The ones he refer to is black by the way....

See now you are upset again.........

And i didn't call anybody by the k word.
I acctually voted for these idiots when Mandela was there i saw the error of my ways......

I have read what you are reffering to. Maybe we should ask Malema to read it to......... oh i forgot he would not be able to.
But he is a freedom struggler!!!! he has been fighting for freedom since he was 14 (1995) Whoopee for skippy!!!

The double standards is what annoys me. I'm not particularly offended by what Malema says, but the way a white person can't say boo or baa critical about anyone who happens to be black without being branded a racist and dismissed. This headline run on the MG annoyed me because no one would dare write "The n----r who caused all the trouble" but "The honky who caused all the trouble" is apparently fine.

According to the Racial Slur Database:
Possibly comes from the term "Honky Tonk", which is a type of country music. Another interesting theory suggests it originated as "Hunky" (and "Bohunk") to refer to Slavic and Hungarian immigrants and eventually transformed into "Honkey" to refer to all White people. Might also come from the African Wolof word "Honq" meaning red or pink and used to describe white men. Yet another theory has it originating from white men honking their horns to call on the lounge singer/prostitute types in 1920's Harlem.

Although the Beetle Car Hire car Co has no such issues:
http://www.kaeferhire.net/

And when you see young foreign European women relief volunteers drive a beetle with that sign on each door around the townships, you start to think how
lucky they were everyone in those townships knew German.

Nope honky sounds cute..... maybe its an american thing? Like Honky tonk?:p

With me it's not so much the word as the principle, if they don't like to be called K******R, Nig-Nog,etc.

Then they should expect the same from us, equality and all that.
