IBM software to challenge Moffice + its free

Just read this on Moneyweb. I hope this is true. Has anyone used symphony and is it any good?

Symphony's based on OpenOffice... think there might be subtle differences, but the codebase (and file formats) will be the same.

Think it's overdue revenge for M$ killing off OS/2...

OpenOffice is good if you can't afford M$ orifice and all the bugs (and activation) which comes with it.
