Hi,

My laptop recently died, I was using the iburst pcmcia modem with no issues. Anyway, bought a hardcore gaming pc now, and had to buy the pci card for my pc to run the pcmcia card.

I am based in cape town, my signal strength is 100%, I have set everything up according to iburst tech help with dr tcp, mtu 1352 etc etc.

Things are dog slow, pinging iburst.co.za gives me avg ping times of 1500ms.

The pc is under the desk, laptop used to be above, signal is 100% ,doubt its this.

Any ideas?

I am running xp2 sp2, and did not even need a driver for the pci card, detected and installed instantly.

HELP!!!!

100% just tells you that you are in a coverage

Which basestation are you connected to? do an RF scan and get a better tower

Get an external antenna. Try it out from a reseller and see if that works better.
PS does the UTC have a port for an antenna - I don't know.
Else move your pc around until you find your "sweetspot"
