I am moving to Wit Rivier it is +-20km from Nelspruit
I know Nelspruit got iBurst
Is it possible for Wit Rivier to have it as well

Well if there is a tower hope you are pretty close to it. If not im sure Ed will say something stupid like " Tower will be up in March " and it only goes up in November because thats whats happening with this Constania Tower. January my ass

Hi Vercogen

Wit Rivier is not covered at the moment and I must say that it is doubtful anytime soon. Even if you were to pick up some form of signal, the throughput rates would be lousy.

Perhaps Radiant Antennaes can provide some advice here?

Difficult one to answer directly........we have an antenna that would probably enable you a decent connection.....if (and its a very big if), the terrain will allow.
If there are any mountains, trees, buildings etc in the line of sight, then your chances are about nil....and the Nelspruit/White River area is not exactly flat....so the chances are not good.
Stand on your house roof...if you can see the Nelspruit tower with a pair of binoculars...then you have a good chance. If there's a mountain etc in the way...then you have no hope.

Hi

We did have a planned site for Constantia, but our plan was rejected by the environmental groups. So we are not allowed to construct on the site we planned to build the base station on.

We have identified another site and so far it looks good. Bear in mind that we may be stopped again though, so at this stage, no ETA.

Sorry, I was hoping to have had more positive news for you.

Regards
Ed

Thanks for the update... those damn Constantia people are pretty fussy about their towers.. they are doing the same with a few cellphone masts at the moment, but I thought iBurst might be able to slip through without people even knowing what it is. :(

Could you publicly announce where exactly that new site might be, it would help me set up connection when it does go live, if not maybe a PM.

Thanks.
