I need help. I'm Currently running FreeBSD 5.4 on an server using pppoe to connect to the iburst modem. (This works fine for ADSL, or Sentech)
For some odd reason when i ping or use the Internet connection the IBurst Modem keeps resettings itself. This means that i don't get any packets for about 2 to 3 seconds.
I have changed the MTU value, and it work a bit better but still resets itself.
There is my ppp settings
default:
set log Phase tun command
suckmyballsiburst:
set device PPPoE:sis0
set authname username
set authkey password
set dial
set login
enable dns
add default HISADDR
This is pretty default and works fine for sentech or adsl.
I have tried getting help from iburst, but they never phone back, and there is no propper technical support for linux.
