iBursting with frustration

Wow how quick things can change, it was just a few months ago, that iBurst was stressing that MyADSL users had rated them as the best broadband service... One can only imagine how they would fair in a similar survey now?

Yep !

I love this :-

Live streaming video and gaming without crippling latency are a reality for UK users, not a pipedream. Finite capacity is an unknown concept among all the UK users I have encountered.

Am I alone in thinking that the only plausible reasons for being forced to endure such unsatisfactory Internet access are along the lines of either inordinate incompetence or excessive greed on the part of the so-called service providers?

You see, this is what the iBurst defenders just don't get - they cannot comprehend what broadband is, their needs are just email and browsing, so they are happy. Anyone who actually does want to enjoy the pleasures of broadband gets labelled as a "bandwidth hog" - that is so shortsighted, it makes me laugh !

Just to change the subject, although it is related...

Has anyone notice that record number of MyADSL users online was broken on Wednedsay 20th, coinciding with Iburst's suspension of users?

It will be intersting to see this month's MyADSL stats, what with Iburst's launch and drama, and of course the ICASA hearings...
