So if I want to subscribe to all I would need like 5 decoder thingys  Gonna need a moerese big TV cabinet now :D not to mention a place to keep all the cables, will I need 5 sat dishes as well. :p

LOL!

Don't forget the happy pills, falling over the cables and not being able to find the right remote by induce a bit of anxiety and stress. Once you kicked the big screen to pieces in a fit of anger you may even suffer from depression!:)

ICASA should have turned Telkom down over them not supplying SLAs - if they are filling the network with ADSL2 how is that going to effect everyone

Telkom Media is owned by Telkom (66%), Anant Singh’s Videovision Entertainment (15%), Given Mkhari’s MSG Africa Media, WDB Investment Holdings (5%), a staff incentive trust (4%) and a broad based black economic empowerment shareholder (5%).

Is the last one Ivy or Sexwale?

wow

It said it aims to offer a wide range of programmes based on "Christian lifestyle principles", saying that 80% of the South African population is Christian

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_africa

According to the latest 2001 national census, Christians accounted for 79.7% of the population. This includes Zion Christian 11.1%, Pentecostal (Charismatic) 8.2%, Catholic 7.1%, Methodist 6.8%, Dutch Reformed 6.7%, Anglican 3.8%, and other Christian 36%. Islam accounted for 1.5% of the population, Hinduism about 1.3%. 15.1% had no religious affiliation, 2.3% were other and 1.4% were unspecified.

wow are .3 % out in their figures.

i don't really buy these stats - 36% from ' other ' ? Thats a huge number of 'other' christian populace.

And just because 80% are born into ' christian ' families it simply doesnt equate that they will want to spend their days watching nutters like Benny Hinn and those other comedians/conmen. We have more than enough of what is called ' commercial religion ' programming.

Don't you just love that spiritual term - commercial religion !!
