The 24th of October sees ICASA taking on Telkom on two fronts
1) Public hearings to define End to End Leased Lines and
other Wholesale Markets - This leads on to Local Loop Unbundling.
2) CCC hears its first complaints regarding the ADSL regulations.

End to End Leased Lines and other Wholesale markets hearings
JOHANNESBURG – The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa
informs interested parties of the public hearings to define End to End Leased Lines and
other Wholesale Markets. This follows the publication in May 2007 of a notice inviting
interested parties to submit written submissions on the Discussion Document which
forms the basis of these public hearings.
The process informs the subsequent regulation making process in the Electronic
Communications Act which requires the Authority to define markets for the purposes of
regulation.
The hearings will be held as follows:
Dates: Wednesday, 24 October; and Thursday, 25 October 2007
Time: 08H30 – 15H30
