Very good article! It looks like Telkom is digging it's own grave.

Icasa senior manager of consumer protection Diane Ngoasheng said Telkom’s reaction was no surprise. “We knew it was coming, but Telkom is stifling economic development in the country and if we hadn’t done anything about that we’d be an accomplice and we won’t be an accomplice. We stand completely by our report,” she said.
Great quote! My confidence in ICASA has finally been restored :)

The complaints that sparked Icasa’s inquiry into the cost and quality of ADSL came from MyADSL, a website for disgruntled ADSL users
LOL! I think that needs to be our new slogan :)

They are only drawing attention to themselves.

Which reminds me what happened to the legal threat to Hellkom. Nothing.
Telkom is getting it from all angles. They had better employ more legal eagles or were they also retrenched?

Yes, the more they whine, the more the press reports it and the more Joe public reads.

This is an excellent quote from ICASA. And they have also restored my faith/support for them. I hope they keep this up. Finally a regulator that actually regulates and is in support of the ppl :)
