So !CASA believes it has a legal right to see the report and instead !CASA's response to the SABC's jump request is how high...This followed a statement by the SABC that Icasa was neither within its jurisdiction nor legally competent to issue a subpoena for the report. The committee did not give its reasons for the ruling. However, chairwoman Puli Moloto-Stofile told Business Day that the ruling was not based on the committee’s lack of legal competence or jurisdiction. “We would be well within our jurisdiction to request the report.”
