ICASA shuts down wireless networks

Shame, iBurst feel's a punch comming and they cut off the arm...

It was a matter of time before WISP's were attacked.... the writing has been on the wall for years.

So if ICASA can go in with armed guards and do this sort of thing, why the hell can't they enforce the ADSL regulations? Tits! It's all down to money and influence, simple as that. So much for an impartial regulator. They should all be hung drawn and quartered.

great if they took down illegal stuff. I do know that the likes of MTN and Vodacom work closely with ICASA to. I can only guess that some of that stuff was interfering with licensed stuff and so they lad a complaint with ICASA and they took action. which i think is great. stick by the rules..... yip just a pity they cant do anything about Telkom

most of the ICASA "ground crew" know what they doing.... just when you move up ... as they say $%1t floats

Hey ICASA,

Why dont you take armed guards and court orders into telkom for the ADSL regulations or anti-competitive behaviour? Guess you cant bite the hand that feeds can you? Because as we all know you only take action against those WITHOUT large legal teams, even the bossman says its too hard.

Useless.

Maybe it would be better to have no regulator than a regulator that does more damage than good.
