Im getting married in the middle of Jan... its gonna be cooking!

What is the best kind of ice-bucket?

We have the choice of Glass, Stainless Steel or Silver.

Which one is gonna work better?

Sorry, but the plastic one would work the best keeping your drinks cooler for longer.
It would also make much less condensation than the other types.

Guess the other types would depend on the cost, look and type of crowd.

My vote then goes for glass :)

Glass, its the least conductive of the choices provided.

EDIT: That said glass is still quite conductive.

Its not about conductivity its about insulation , you wont notice any remarkable difference between any of those containers.

You can get the ice buckets with the foam insulation in the middle and they have a lid. This would be your best option, they are basically like little cooler boxes.

LOL, if an item has bad thermal conductivity it is a good insulator.

Facepalm , i miss read your first statement , i thought you were telling him to go for the most conductive material . Sorry about that.

The only time you need an ice bucket is if you drink too slow.

^ this ^

Or else get a rectangular plastic ice bucket - it's easier to get ice from it when using a scoop.
