Hey all, i cannot for the life of me get either of these 2 things to work.
Ive downloaded the quickstart guide for Iconnect and followed it to the letter, set Ip to 192.168.250.30 and subnet to 255.255.255.0 but still get the same error Socket error # 10060.
Its the same with UTtracestar, i set the ip and i still get the error: Failed to connect to the UTD.
Ive tried every IP address mentioned on these forums but it just doesnt work.
Please help

No not using a router, when the ip is set to 192.168.250.30 and i telnet like you said, it says connecting to 192.168.250.10 and then the prompt dissapears. Tried it in normal cmd mode and it says could not connect to the host on port 1234 etc

Hmmm... you should not have got that err message, and it should be working ... try unplug and turn off utd and plug in switch on try again (telnet thing) . If not you could restart and if not I donno, will think of other possible conflicts. Post if you get it working

OK, maybe this sounds silly, but do not see specific reference with a quick scan.

If UTD, have you powered it off and on? Have had this prob a few times with my UTD that it needed power cycling...

SeanH i would seriously think about getting a firewall up and running. The SP2 works as well as any software firewall.

I got two problems from different ppl at same time ... for some reason thought they where connected hence the win2k assumption... nevermind.

Yes get a firewall I would suggest Zonealarm free version as it is free and good. SP2 doesn't work as well as any, in fact its rather poor.
