is that right

In a recent IBM presentation, high level skills were cited as being the biggest challenge in South Africa. These skills include WebSphere, Tivoli, Business Process Analyst, Database Administrators, Functional Process Analyst, and System Administrators for Linux, Unix and Intel.

Gosh...IBM telling everyone skillz for their products are most sought after. Why not go all out and replace :
Database Administrators == DB2
System Administrators for Linux, Unix == AIX
Functional Process Analyst == RUP

Intel...WTF...assembly coding?

From what I've seen system admins normally get an exteremly low salaries.

employees with skills in the fields of enterprise architecture and SOA, ERP, project management, security systems, network, data / VPN / firewalls and telecommunications equipment & services can demand the highest salaries in the local IT space.

They can??? :eek: I must be doing something wrong then! Better forward this off to my boss along with my 200% salary increase demand.

I have just moved to London and I was expecting to get a lot of job offers for web 2.0 stuff. I have over 6 years experience with front end JavaScript, DHTML, AJAX and back end Java, PHP and SQL.

What I got was agent call after agent call asking about... My year of Object Oriented ActionScript experience. OO Flash AS is really big right now. All the media companies are looking to make their banners and micro-sites more interactive and there are hardly any OO Flash developers out there. Word on the street is that in the next year, its going to explode.
