My AMD at home hits 45 when it is working hard and idles at about 30C... but i have a decent cooling set up here where at work i use stock features.

Think it's quite normal for a P4. My A64 3000+ is running at 39°C with a 12.5% overclock atm. If it hits 70°C you have a problem. This is normally the alarm temperature for a lot of programs.noswal said:I looked in my Bios and the temperature of the cpu is 45C - is that good/bad for an average p4 ?
