... going to me

I should actually get the idiot award of the year. After the game tonight I wanted to congratualate Jonathan Kaplan on the game and I actually managed to knock his beer out of his hand!

I could'nt believe it also and just laughed at it, but I certainly didn't laugh! All my mates and fellow refs had a good laug at me when that happend! :d :D

Well done. lol :D
Sure some of the Chiefs would say you're a hero rather than an idiot. :)

But I think you come in 2nd after the idiot who was waving the old SA flag at the game.

Although I got an old RSA flag here at home, I don't take it anywhere. There is no way that flag will leave my house!

But they confiscated the flag right after he took it out.

There's no problem in having one. It's part of our history as a country BUT waving it in public at an international event is making a statement. I wonder if it was the same idiot who John Smit called out at the Wales test at Loftus last year.

Glad they got him but he got a few seconds on tv...which I guess was his goal. At the Wales game the idiot was in a suite right above the scoreboard behind the poles so he got a LOT of airtime.

What happened to freedom of speech? It's ILLEGAL for anyone to have confiscated the flag. My comment does not mean that I endorse what the flag represents in general, just that it infringes on freedom of speech if someone confiscates the flag since it represents that person's opinions, whether the majority agrees with his opinions or not.

On the legallity I can't answer, but I know it has been the norm ever since the 'new' flag was adopted for the 'old' RSA flag to be confiscated as it is not allowed at sports grounds. If someone with more knowledge on the matter can help, it would be good, but can the mods spilt the topic because this is going to result in a huge discussion and it is off topic.

+1. This is heading completely in the opposite direction. New topic.

I think that Stransky was up there for the Idiot award. Where does he get off with the statements that he was making about 'a bridge too far' and the rest? Well done to the Chiefs, they played some good rugby and most certainly contributed to the occassion. Can you imagine how dull it would have been if they stayed at home? Sure, the score line was a hiding - but they most certainly didn't give up.

And congrats to the Bulls.

+1. And then calling the Mayor by the wrong surname.:p

I though Supersport had learnt from the Joost experiment, rugby players are good at commentating and giving inside info on tv programmes but as MC's? Nahhhh

Couldn't hear what Joel was saying as the sound in the stadium is very bad and where I am sitting, your can almost not hear the stadium announcements.

The chiefs played horrible rugby. I was hoping for a nail biting final. The second half was a bit boring :(

Grats to the Bulls though!!

Well seeing as loftus can also forbit Vuvuzelas and or a couple of other things, can't they forbit something like that flag?

The "Right of admission reserved" on the ticket kind of gives them the power to just throw him out, doesn't it?

Maybe it was just the bulls playing so well that the chiefs looked bad.

IMO they played typical chief's rugby, the bulls just had the correct game plan.
