No I dont think Tnuva has anything to do with it.
If I have my facts correct (and what it used to be when it first started with the buyout)
Milco Sa was originally created in South Africa for the sole purpose of buying out Clover by International Beer Breweries Ltd (Israel), Incubev (Mauritius), Ploughshare investments (Channel Islands) and the executive management team of Clover. There was an actual 15% stake in it originally from a South African company called Brimstone investment corporation.
Due to the pro palestine movements in South Africa Brimstone pulled out and so it is only the other players now. International Beer Breweries is owned by the Central bottling Company (Israel) and I don't think any of them have any link to Tnuva that I know of.
If Milco decides to dump foreign milk here, what will we do? We are not anti-foreign direct investment, but the way that foreign companies are taking over becomes worrying," Mngomezulu said.
If Milco are able to transport fresh milk into South Africa and process it cheaper than purchasing from the local market, do you maybe not think that the issue is not with the overseas market pricing but maybe our own market pricing?
