If you're considering the FNB CIPC reg, skip it.

The FNB CIPC registration seems really appealing, but I would avoid it. At least in the near future.

First off the website and service itself is not working currently and is extremely buggy. I sent FNB the documents 5 times.

While speaking to someone at the 'Centre of Excellence' for business banking, her personal phone rang and she just hang up on me. And then continued to answer and hang up the phone when I called back.

Use a service like Swiftreg, or CIPC direct.

Do you have this consultants name?

Lay a complaint with the Center of Excellence, I'm sure it will be dealt with appropriately.

Last I checked, FNB's business registration service only got you a registration number. If you wanted to register a business name as well, then you still had to go to the CIPC. Is this still the case? If so, I don't see the point of using FNB's service in the first place.

They have added it Greg, but when I registered last week it wasn't working. The whole registration wasn't working, mind. And none of the people responsible for opening business accounts and registering were aware of it or cared.

With this recent FNB issue where all transactions were doubled I think it's clear that FNB has some serious IT/Systems issues.

I have also just tried this service....exactly the same experience. The application gui often doesn;t make sense and people just put the phone down. I will try swiftreg now. bit of a waste of R175:(
