It's not that simple. Not even scientists can agree on the classification of races since there has been so much interbreeding over the millenia. There are certain DNA markers that develop in cluster groups which give a particular group certain anatomical characteristics. The Ethiopian Jews for example bear the DNA markers of centuries of procreating within their own group. This is true for the Sephardi Jews (Hispanic) and for the European Jews etc etc.

I know much of this because I was trying to trace our Celtic ancestry and realized how many assumptions and misconceptions I and many others have about race in general.

So to say that, it's not a race, is not entirely true. If only everything was that simple

DNA tracing is not as easy as it's made to appear. At the end of the day though no such thing as purely anything still exists today which makes sense as inbreeding would have killed off any previous race of human anyway.

What makes it difficult with Jews in particular is multiple times in their history including WWII multiple lineages were wiped out....
