I'm actually quite ashamed to ask this.

I've got this litte program Norton Ghost 2003 on a bootable CD (it works brilliantly) that I've used for many years to copy the contents of one harddrive to another.

How can I get that program onto a Flashdrive and make it bootable?

There's nothing shaming about that question. Too bad I can't help you though.

I used to use Ghost (bought the original double cd's), but found HD Clone later, and has been using it ever since.

The latest version can even copy a OS drive from within the live OS (ie. windows 7), making perfect bootable copies.
You can create the bootable files to CD/DVD/Flashdrive, from within the HDClone exe file, with no other files needed.

Other thing, usb is supported, ie. cloning a sata/ide drive to a usb connected drive - vely vely nice.

They have a free version, with limited capability, I use the pro version.

Try it........

It's bloody difficult.

I don't understand the HP tool.

Basically my situation goes like this:
I've got a couple of empty PCs and a hardrive with all the software installed and configured perfectly (drivers, everything).

I've got a flash drive.

I've got Norton ghost 2003.

What do I do with these 3. Step by step please. Assume I'm a retard ... because I feel like one.

It shouldn't be that hard, I do it all the time. Just download http://www.mediafire.com/?gnn4kd2uwm5 (run as admin on win7) then download some dos based bootable image/disk > put a tick in at make DOS bootable disk > browse to your DOS boobable mounted image/cd/floppy. Click start. then copy the dos compatible ghost.exe to the drive.

The files I use are:
ANSI.SYS
CHOICE.COM
COMMAND.COM
EMM386.EXE
filelist.txt
HIMEM.SYS
MSCDEX.EXE
OAKCDROM.SYS
RAMDRIVE.SYS
(some hidden)
