...in spite of the built-in flash rubbish :)

It *is* faster than FF, but what really appeals to me is that it gives me much better battery life on my netbook! The add-ons aren't quite up to it yet, but they are getting there - I'll look at Flashblock tomorrow.

Chrome is now the default browser on my netbook.

Just wish Chrome would look a bit more "polished" on Ubuntu, but, yes, it flies.

I saw your post on that in another thread and I must say I have no real problems with the looks. What isn't working for you?

I also used to think Chrome was the shizz. I dumped it about 2 weeks ago because of some privacy concerns I had. Go go FF!

I like the minimalist look it has, and the home page with your most visited sites listed, but still prefer FireFox, it just feels more solid.

The fonts just look horrible and way too big.

I know you can change the fonts in Chrome, but I have tried that without success. And for some reason it looks stretched on my 15.4'' notebook, not sure why. Looks perfect in Windows 7 (work notebook).

Strange, they look identical to FF on this PC (netbook). It actually looks better in Chrome than FF on the TabOnline betting page as there is an alignment issue on Ubuntu (funnily, not Kubuntu).

As I'm loafing at the mo, I'll see if I can find anything on your font issue.

Cheers BigAl-sa!

What has been quite scary is how many complaints I've found about the fonts. I can't even find a way to do anything about the fonts on this PC - there is no font changing option under options.

Maybe these okes are taking the "let's make chrome idiot proof" too far???

I'm on a roll, so maybe I'll find something (I'll PM you some of the stuffies I've found).

Started using chrome at work because I have an obsolete computer there, and it feels even faster than opera. Using it at home now as well since I realised I don`t need all those buttons on the other browsers. Chrome with adblock would be perfect though, but I won`t expect google to screw over their revenue like that.

I use chrome because when watching youtube on firefox, then firefox seems to freeze temporarily but chrome doesn't.
I still use FF for downloading youtube videos-- better plug in.
