Thanks, I feel a lot more reassured after hearing about your experiences, I received my tracking number but it isn't working yet. Apparently it can take 5-10 days to register, I'm okay with that. :)
Sometimes my tracking number never worked but because I have bought more than 50 times I don't care.Good luck with your purchase. I hope that Taobao comes to the party because they much cheaper but they don't ship to SA, they have companies that buy and ship for you but I don't trust them.

Hello, I'm starting up a new business and I decided import my products from China as it seems to be the only way to be competitive in today's market.

I placed an order through Aliexpress via China Post, through Aliexpress you have to designate a physical address for delivery. So here are my questions:

1. Does China Post track the parcel internationally, if not how will I find out where the item is once it's in South Africa (eg. Which Customs in specific)?

2. Where can I pick up the item, or will it be delivered to my doorstep?

3. My buyer protection ends in 60 days but according to the supplier delivery can take between 15-60 days, should I be concerned?

Thank you :)
Another thing it depends on what you order and the amount you order ,that could flag customs and then they would stop your parcel.i usually try to keep my amount of stuff i order to a minimum.

I ordered 15x E-Cig kits, Evod MT3's. Like this one http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/170382293/E_Cigarette_Electronic_Cigarette_EVOD_Single_Kit.html

They do contain batteries so I hope customs doesn't flag me.
What happens if you get flagged by customs?

Total cost was R1080.00

@zantetsuken Did you ever receive your items? I'm looking at ordering from AliExpress for the first time. Not in a rush for my items, and they are WAY cheaper than local prices, so thought I'd try it out.

I've ordered many items from aliexpress. Normally took just over a month to receive my items but since the post office strikes its anywhere between 2-6 months to receive your goods so if your not in hurry you'll definitely get your item. Just make sure you extend your buyer protection if you haven't received the item so that you can claim a refund if things don't work out.

It's cleared customs and should be at your local post office by now, or in the next day or two. Go there with your ID and see what's happening. They might want you to produce invoice etc.

It should show tracking when it reaches the post office.

I wouldn't go before then.

The international tracking number ends there but it should carry on to the local automatically.
