Don't try to understand what my statement means. You clearly don't understand it because this is not something that you will ever experience from my perspective. These are facts. You can examine what I said, but don't try to comment on it like you understand it.
Thanks for the detailed response...but nahhh...not interested. Never been.

Yeah, I want to take personal credit for all the colonization because you know I inherited genes from pythogoras, newton but apartheid people and hitler (godwin's I know) - I didn't select those genes at all.
I've asked you before multiple, where were you in '94.

Since you don't want to answer, let's try this way: Do you have a cousin in a match factory (to borrow "uncle in the furniture business" from the old Joshua Doore ad). Or were you an ANN7 employee left behind?

Your experience you allude to, does not tally with the real South African one.

When you preach destruction before education , then that generation becomes unmarketable , blame the ANC.
When you dumb down the standards to the point where people are admitted to university on the colour of skin then employers will shy away from that demographic , blame the ANC.
et cetera et cetera , bad policies from a bad organisation = bad results for everyone once they rule.

 you are going to confuse old sollie with such subtle nuances.
Nope. But it makes for amusing times when I see people avoid a simple question, worse than Zuma trying to get his day in court.

I suspect he can take avoidance lessons from certain member here, except ...

Enough said.

This is besides the point. lets not make excuses...

While I agree that there is always ways to make sure you earn what you should, I believe the biggest problem we have is the fact that a black and white individual might have similar experience and the same qualification, the white individual will almost always receive a better offer. I think that is what the article points to...

White folk don't find themselves in positions where they have to do cartwheels for what they deserve. Period.

My problem is, every year we get the same reports about pay inequality in the workplace... Really, there is nothing new this article mentions that many articles in the past have mentioned (#RinseAndRepeat). So what if race X gets paid more than races Y and Z? So what if they don't have to put in much effort? What else is new?? Politicians and media houses love these kind of stories because they bring quick-buck, bring in the likes, and cause a stir. 5 years ago people spoke about this topic; today we are speaking about it; 5 years down the line we will most likely still be discussing pay inequality across the spectrum (race, gender, etc.). Don't get me wrong, pay inequality does exist and it is a problem. Sitting and waiting for things to change wont help. Solution is simple; if you believe your current employer is underpaying you and not appreciating you, resign and move to an employer who will give you what you want. Good employers do exist.

This thread will consist of white folk spending all day attacking what they don't understand. What they don't know and will never experience.

Sometimes you just gotta learn to listen to what those with different backgrounds are experiencing instead of attacking every ounce of an experience you will never have.

sit down.
What you need to realise is the larger world does not give a **** about your skin color when they decide where to invest their money.

Zimbabwe is a nice lesson for the likes of you regarding what happens when you ignore the larger world.
