I see your point angler.
Im capped at the moment and I suppose if the capped speed matched my old ISDN it might be OK. I cant update my Anti-Virus or browse websites overseas. The capped speed is a serious infringement on everyones right to decent internet connectivity.
But the point I want to make is, we should not back down for Telkom. The whole ADSL package is unacceptable. Telkom want you to buy another 3 gigs, thats the problem. Does anyone know what line this capped line uses, as if I was telkom, I would hate to tell a customer that he must accept this speed or even to know that my company owns such a slow line. I would be too embarrassed.
Noone can use it. Its not a service, its an excuse for us do buy more "internet time".
I wonder if this capped connection isnt slowed down deliberately.
The time for being nice to Telkom is over. Their ADSL package is unacceptable. Its as simple as that.
