I don't think bowlers were ever afraid of Kallis or Amla. They accumulated a lot of runs and have great records and won many games. They dominated a few innings along the way. The have had some spectacular moments. But mostly they accumulated and turned matches that way.
Still in my opinion AB rises above them. I guess my criteria is the ability to terrify the fielding side by their imminent - and on pitch - presence.

Maybe one day down the line, if he keeps on playing the way he is. I don't put him in the same class yet though.
