Interesting that the likes of Shami, Kohli, Bumrah and Sharma are not part of the limited overs squads. Tells me they're prioritising the tests over the other formats.

I was about to type the same thing.

this... doesnt make sense with a T20I happening in 2024... this guy needs all he can get.

It makes perfect sense when you consider he’s not good enough for T20 and he’s not the captain anymore.

Good to see david beddingham and nandre burger called for the test squad. Also good to see 3 allrounders in the odi squad.
Also to see them managing KG and only using him in the tests for this series.

Brevis slightly unlucky to miss out on the odi squad, same for don ferreira.

Tried to book tickets for the Wanderers T20 and it was sold out. Apparently I was way too slow.

He doesn't belong in the T20I side. 1 x 50 and an average slightly over 21. In his last 15 innings he has scored 170 runs with 2 x NOs, 4 ducks and an average of 13.1!

They keep on talking Brevis up and I can see he has talent.
But they've only played him in 7 FC games (there goes any chance for inclusion in the Test side) and 15 List A games (which makes it hard for him to be playing in the ODI side). I they want to change that and quickly, then they need to start playing him more in FC/LA games.

the problem is also the jump from FC/List A to international is a big one...

Its a balancing act of getting him to gain confidence in the kiddy pool vs throwing him in the deep end... i guess we'll have to wait and see

He has played each and every game the titans has played this season whether it's FC or 50 overs.

I see Brevis bagged a pair in the Titans' loss to Province over the weekend. Reckon his confidence will be a bit on the low side right now so throwing him in against India may not be the best for him at this stage.
