We beat the bat plenty of times...hope we get as lucky with not nicking off as they did.

a Few drops and no balls like we did would go nicely as well...

SA let India of the hook yesterday. Thought our fielding was poor and we weren't full enough hence why the ball kept missing the edge.

Thing is at the Wanderers it's usually more difficult to bat on day 2.

Could have had them all out for 100 if we'd taken all our chances. SA has to up their fielding game.

Pitch Report: "Looks a fairly lively surface. There are quite a few cracks near the short of a good length area which provides a lot of drastic deviation. This could be a pattern and get more pronounced as the game progresses. The lengths will be the key because hitting the stumps will be the ideal length here. Doesn't mean half volleys but surely need to bowl fuller. The older ball could be a touch easier to bat relatively but at no stage in this game will batting be actually easy," says Shaun Pollock while inspecting the surface.

Thinking we will win this one but it will be a bowlers test. Lots of wickets falling per sessions with a shortened or rain interrupted game that still finishes. Still, lets see how the Indian bowlers perform on this pitch.

Kumar to Elgar, no run, ends the over with a peach. Splendid stuff from Bhuvi, he even brings the batsman forward this time, searching for the ball, which skips past the outside edge, seaming away off the pitch

Kumar to Elgar, no run, emphatically beaten that time with Bhuvi pitching it on off stump, the angle demanding Elgar to attempt a shot and the seam movement away telling him how dare he do such a thing.

Kumar to Elgar, no run, past the edge again, although it half seems like Elgar pulls the bat inside the line of a back of a length delivery that darts away off the pitch

Kumar to Elgar, no run, beats him but the ball doesn't quite carry through at the usual height to the keeper. Bhuvi goes around the wicket, hoping to draw the left-hander into playing at stuff he shouldn't

Kumar to Elgar, no run, squares him up as Bhuvneshwar attempts the magic ball, pitching outside leg and seaming towards the slips

I'd be surprised if Elgar gets 10 here.

The commentary doesn't make for pretty reading. Looks seriously tough out there. It's just about survival now. Even if they crawl to lunch at 40/1, that's fine. Batting will (should) get easier.

Pretty much sums it up

10.2 Bhuvneshwar to Elgar, no run, Elgar has no clue, to be honest, these are unplayable fast off-breaks from a pacer from round the wicket. Pitches around the fuller length zone, the angle is towards the off stump, so Elgar has to play
