What really made this series so competitive is India's pace attack. From the first over in Cape Town they hit the correct line and length, with some real pace. They beat our batsmen countless times with brilliant deliveries. Our batsmen could not build big innings and we could not bat them out of the game as used to be the case with Indian teams coming to SA (we post a big score and bowl them out cheaply). This time round both bowling units managed to bowl out the other team for cheap every innings.

Going to need at least one or two more innings like that to give the Saffers a chance.
