Poor performance from the team in this test. They were extremely sloppy after winning the series. Only hash and elgar seemed to show up to play.

With Australia coming up, some hard calls have to be made by the selectors imo.

1. Batting line up wise and the type of pitches we continue to ask for, are 6 specialists bats enough? With QdK having a horrible time, should we revert back to 7?

2. The answer to the first affects the this one, the bowling line up, 5 bowlers is not working imo, had India been better tourists, we could have lost all the games. The Aussies won't give us that chance.

So I think we should go back to 7 bats and 4 bowlers.

Man of the match for that test was the groundsman, and for all the wrong reasons. What a debacle.

Anyways. At least we took the series. Hoping the ODI series goes well. Lots of nice cricket in the next two months at least playing proper sides. Looking forwards to taking on the Ausies in a test series. Unlike India they travel well and Smith is the best test batsman in the world. That will be a proper contest.

I hope the batsmen score some big runs in the ODIs and get some confidence going into the Aus test. Different format yes, but a hundred or two for QdK for example will do wonders for his confidence.
